Audi A5 (B9) Upgraded with TTSPORT Evolution EB6 Big Brake Kit

16 May 2025

The Audi A5 is a fantastic grand tourer, capable of eating up highway miles in absolute comfort. However, its greatest weakness has always been the stock braking system. If you own a non-S or non-RS model, you know the feeling: the pedal is "numb," "vague," and lacks the confident, linear bite a German sport sedan should have.

It is a comfort-first setup that simply doesn't inspire confidence when you push the car on a backroad or need to stop quickly from highway speeds. To truly unlock your A5's potential, you need a system that delivers feedback, consistency, and power.

This is exactly what the TTSPORT EB6 6-Piston Front Kit is engineered to do.

The Bolt-On Solution for a Confident Pedal

This is a complete, bolt-on front-axle solution designed to transform your A5's braking performance. We paired the EB6 caliper with massive 380mm rotors to match the scale of 19-inch wheels, providing both a massive performance increase and the aggressive "OEM+" look your car deserves.

  • Vehicle Platform: Audi A5 (B9)
  • Wheel Requirement: 19-inch Wheels
  • Front Caliper: TTSPORT EB6 Six-Piston Forged Caliper
  • Front Rotor: TTSPORT 380mm (15.0") High-Carbon 2-Piece Rotor
  • The Kit: Includes custom hub-centric hats, forged brackets, high-performance pads, and stainless steel lines.

The Tech: Why the EB6 is a Better Caliper

This isn't just a bigger caliper; it's a smarter one, engineered to solve the A5's specific pedal-feel issues.

1. Rock-Solid Pedal Feel

The EB6 is forged, not cast, and features reinforced internal crossbars that improve rigidity by 20-30% over standard designs. This eliminates "caliper flex" under hard braking, which is the primary cause of that "mushy" or "vague" feeling you get with stock sliding calipers.

2. Smooth, Linear Stopping

We engineered the EB6 with a balanced, progressive piston layout (differentially sized pistons). This means you get a smooth, predictable initial bite—not a jerky, "on-off" switch. It is perfect for daily driving in traffic but delivers massive, controllable clamping force when you dive into a corner.

3. Superior Heat Management

The caliper utilizes vented stainless steel pistons and high-temperature seals. Combined with the 380mm (15.0") 2-piece rotors, this system offers massive thermal capacity to eliminate brake fade, even during spirited driving.

Audi A5 Upgrade FAQ

1. Is this better than the S5 / S-Line brakes?

Yes. While S-Line brakes are larger than the base model, they often still use heavy floating calipers. The TTSPORT EB6 is a fixed, 6-piston forged caliper. It offers significantly better rigidity, lighter weight, and more even pad pressure distribution than the factory sport options.

2. Will this trigger a "Brake Wear" light on my dash?

No. The TTSPORT EB6 calipers are designed to accept standard Audi brake wear sensors. Your dashboard warning system will function exactly as it did from the factory.

3. Will these fit my 18-inch winter wheels?

Likely not. The 380mm rotor is substantial and generally requires a minimum of 19-inch wheels for barrel clearance. If you plan to run 18-inch wheels, please contact us about our smaller rotor options.
