Toyota Alphard (AH30) Upgraded with TTSPORT Evolution ES6 Big Brake Kit
The Toyota Alphard (and Vellfire) is the undisputed king of family MPVs. It is built for first-class comfort, quiet cruising, and reliability. However, once you load it with seven passengers and holiday luggage, you are piloting a vehicle that weighs well over 4,500 lbs (2,041 kg).
If you have ever descended a steep hill with a full car, you likely know the feeling: the pedal goes soft, stopping distances stretch, and the brakes feel "mushy." The factory single-piston sliding calipers simply lack the thermal capacity to handle that much kinetic energy repeatedly. For a family vehicle, this isn't just an annoyance—it is a safety concern.
The TTSPORT ES6 Lightweight 6-Piston Brake Kit is the direct solution. It is engineered specifically to provide heavy-duty stopping power while fitting neatly behind your factory 18-inch wheels.
The "Common Sense" Safety Upgrade
This isn't an aggressive racing modification; it is a practical safety upgrade for a heavy vehicle. We replaced the undersized stock components with a motorsport-derived system that increases clamping force and heat dissipation.

Why the ES6 is the Perfect Fit
We chose the Evolution Series ES6 for this application for three specific reasons:
1. Zero Modifications (The Slim Profile)
Most 6-piston kits are too bulky for OEM wheels, forcing you to buy expensive aftermarket rims or use wheel spacers. The ES6 features a "Slim Profile" forged body specifically designed to clear the spokes of the factory 18-inch Alphard wheels. It is a true bolt-on solution.
2. Eliminating Brake Fade
The kit replaces the solid factory disc with a 340mm (13.4") 2-piece rotor. The aluminum hat separates the rotor surface from the hub, while the curved vanes inside the rotor pump air through the disc to cool it down. This prevents the "soft pedal" feeling during long downhill drives.
3. Linear Comfort
Despite being a high-performance caliper, the ES6 uses differential piston sizing (small, medium, large pistons). This ensures the pedal remains smooth and easy to modulate in city traffic—no jerky stops that spill coffee or wake up sleeping passengers.
Alphard MPV Upgrade FAQ
1. Will these brakes be noisy?
No. We supply this kit with our Street-Performance Ceramic Pads. They are formulated specifically to be quiet, low-dust, and rotor-friendly, maintaining the luxury driving experience of the Alphard.
2. Do I really need to upgrade the rear brakes too?
For most family MPVs, a front-only upgrade is sufficient. Under heavy braking, weight transfers to the front, meaning the front brakes do 70-80% of the work. Upgrading the front provides the biggest safety improvement for your investment.
3. Will this void my warranty?
Generally, a brake upgrade only affects the warranty on the brake components themselves (which you are replacing). It does not affect the engine, transmission, or electronics warranty. However, we always recommend checking with your local dealer.
