Your big brakes are worthless if your fluid boils. Brake fluid is the most critical and overlooked component in any performance braking system. Under the intense heat of track days or aggressive canyon driving, factory-fill fluid can boil, creating vapor bubbles in the lines. The result is a terrifyingly soft, spongy pedal and a complete loss of braking power—a phenomenon known as brake fade.
TTSPORT DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid is the solution. Engineered with a high-purity synthetic borate ester base, it provides the extreme thermal stability and high boiling points required to maintain a firm, consistent pedal and predictable stopping power, even under the most punishing conditions. It's the essential lifeblood for any performance braking system.
The numbers don't lie. Our fluid is engineered to significantly exceed the minimum requirements for DOT 5.1, providing a greater margin of safety and performance when you need it most.
Performance Metric | TTSPORT DOT 5.1 | DOT 5.1 Minimum Standard |
---|---|---|
Dry Boiling Point | > 270°C (518°F) | 260°C (500°F) |
Wet Boiling Point | > 180°C (356°F) | 180°C (356°F) |
Viscosity at -40°C | < 900 mm²/s | 900 mm²/s (Max) |
Both are glycol-based fluids and are compatible for mixing. However, DOT 5.1 is required to meet a higher performance standard. It has a higher boiling point than standard DOT 4 and, more importantly, a much lower viscosity (it's "thinner") at cold temperatures, which is critical for the proper functioning of modern ABS and stability control systems.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere over time. This water contamination drastically lowers its boiling point. The "wet" boiling point (tested with 3.7% water content) is the most realistic measure of a fluid's long-term performance. A high wet boiling point means your brakes will remain safe and consistent, even after a year or two of service.
While DOT 5.1 is chemically compatible with DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids, we strongly recommend a full system flush. Mixing new fluid with old, contaminated fluid will immediately lower the boiling points of the new fluid and compromise its performance. For best results, always bleed the entire system and refill with 100% fresh TTSPORT DOT 5.1 fluid.
NO. This is extremely important. DOT 5 (not 5.1) is a silicone-based fluid and is NOT compatible with glycol-based fluids like DOT 3, 4, or 5.1. Never mix them, as it will cause severe damage to your braking system.
The big parts get all the glory, but the right accessories are what separate a good brake setup from a great one. Here’s how we help you get the exact supporting parts you need, from high-performance fluid to custom brackets.
Give us the rundown on your vehicle (make, model, year, VIN) and your current brake setup. Knowing your caliper and rotor specs, plus how you drive, helps us nail the fitment.
Our team will recommend the perfect accessories for your system—whether you need stainless steel brake lines for a firmer pedal, high-temp brake fluid for the track, or custom-machined caliper brackets and rotor hats for a bespoke build.
We'll present you with the options. You review the recommendations, finalize your choices, and complete the order easily through our website or a custom invoice.
Once you give us the go-ahead, we gather all the correct components, double-check compatibility, and assemble your tailored accessory package.
Everything gets a final quality check before being securely packed. As soon as it's on its way, we'll send you the tracking info so you can follow it to your door.
