Porsche 911 (991) Upgraded with TTSPORT Evolution EB8 Big Brake Kit
The Porsche 911 is the benchmark for a reason. However, if you have taken your 991 or 992 to a serious track day, you have likely found the limit of the stock 4-piston braking system. Physics eventually wins.
After three or four flying laps, the pedal starts to get "long." You lose that immediate bite, your confidence drops, and you are forced to brake earlier. You aren't just overwhelming the pads; you are overwhelming the thermal capacity of the entire system.
To match the endurance of the 911's chassis, you need a larger heat sink. This is precisely why we engineered the TTSPORT EB8 8-Piston Big Brake Kit—a true motorsport-grade solution.
The Balanced Track-Day Upgrade
This is not just a front caliper swap. Because the 911 is rear-engine, it relies heavily on rear braking for stability. We pair the massive 8-piston front calipers with enlarged rear rotors to maintain the correct hydraulic bias under threshold braking.
- Vehicle Platform: Porsche 911 (992)
- Wheel Requirement: 20-inch wheels
- Front Axle: TTSPORT EB8 8-Piston Forged Calipers w/ 405mm (16.0") 2-Piece Rotors
- Rear Axle: TTSPORT 380mm (15.0") Enlarged 2-Piece Rotors (Retains factory caliper/EPB)
- Friction: M05+ Motorsport-Compound Pads
Why 8 Pistons? It’s About FADE and FEEL.
For a car as precise as a 911, your brakes must be a tool, not a liability. Here is what the EB8 system delivers over the stock setup:
1. Massive Thermal Capacity
An 8-piston caliper allows for a significantly larger brake pad surface area. When paired with a 405mm (16.0") 2-piece rotor, you create an enormous "heat sink." This system can absorb and dissipate the kinetic energy of a 150mph stop repeatedly without the fluid boiling or the pads fading.
2. The 4-Pad Advantage
The EB8 utilizes a unique design with four individual brake pads per caliper. This ensures that pressure is distributed perfectly evenly across the rotor face, eliminating "taper wear" and providing an incredibly firm, progressive pedal that allows you to trail-brake with millimeter precision.
3. Rear Engine Stability
By upgrading the rear rotors to 380mm (15.0"), we increase the rear brake torque lever arm. This keeps the 911 flat and stable during hard deceleration, preventing the rear end from getting "loose" on corner entry.

Porsche 911 Upgrade FAQ
1. Does this work with the factory wear sensors?
Yes. The TTSPORT EB8 calipers are designed to accept standard Porsche-style wear sensors, so your dashboard warning system functions exactly as the factory intended.
2. Why enlarge the rear rotor but keep the stock caliper?
Modern 911s (991/992) use a complex electronic parking brake (EPB) integrated into the rear caliper. By retaining the factory caliper and using a specialized bracket to fit a larger 380mm rotor, we retain full EPB functionality while significantly increasing thermal capacity and brake torque.
3. Will this fit my 20-inch wheels?
Yes, this kit is specifically engineered for 20-inch wheels. The 405mm front rotor fills the barrel perfectly. We always recommend using our printable fitment template to check for spoke clearance, as wheel designs vary.
