You love your BMW 4 Series (F32 / G22). It is the perfect balance of luxury and sport. But once you add a tune and start pushing that B48 or B58 engine, you quickly discover the chassis' weak link: the brakes.

The stock single-piston floating calipers are fine for commuting, but under aggressive driving, they feel "mushy" and fade quickly. The traditional solution is a Big Brake Kit (BBK), but that usually comes with a hidden cost: you have to buy expensive 19-inch or 20-inch aftermarket wheels just to clear the calipers.

How did we fit 6 pistons into such a tight space? The secret is Forging.

1. The "No-Spacer" Forged Design

Cast calipers are bulky and require thick walls for strength. The SL6 is forged from high-grade aluminum. This material is significantly stronger, allowing us to shave down the caliper profile to create a "Slim" design that clears factory wheel spokes without sacrificing structural rigidity.

2. Thermal Capacity Upgrade

We replace the standard rotor with a 355mm (14.0") 2-piece rotor. The aluminum center hat reduces unsprung weight, while the high-carbon friction ring absorbs and dissipates heat far more efficiently than stock. This eliminates brake fade during aggressive canyon carving.

3. Linear Pedal Feel

The progressive piston layout eliminates the "on/off" feeling of stock brakes. You get a firm, linear, and communicative pedal that lets you modulate your braking force with precision.

BMW SL6 Upgrade FAQ

1. Will this fit 100% of factory wheels?

The SL6 is designed to fit most factory 17" and 18" BMW wheels. However, offset and spoke design vary between styles (e.g., Style 400M vs Style 397). We strongly recommend utilizing our printable fitment template to verify clearance on your specific wheels before ordering.

2. Do I need wheel spacers?

In the vast majority of cases, no. The "Slim Series" is engineered specifically to avoid spacers. If your wheel spokes are unusually thick or have a high positive offset, a thin (3mm or 5mm) spacer might be required, but this is rare.

3. How does this compare to the M-Performance brakes?

The TTSPORT SL6 offers comparable or superior clamping force to factory 4-piston options but utilizes a 6-piston architecture for better pad pressure distribution. Additionally, our 2-piece rotors are lighter and shed heat faster than the standard 1-piece rotors found on many factory setups.
